Furniture Row Racing to Focus Solely on NASCAR in 2007
January 25, 2007 | Posted by VroomDude
The Furniture Row Racing team is back with Kenny Wallace in its #78 car for the 2007 season, but the team has announced that its endings its involvement in the Busch series in order to focus on its Nextel Cup efforts.
The team said the move to pare back its efforts was caused by the double whammy of increased competiton in 2007 with the arrival of Toyota and its 7 new well-funded teams, as well as the logistical struggles and costs involved in trying to compete in both Busch and Nextel from the team’s Colorado headquarters.
Both of which are very logical and hard to argue with, although it does beg the question of why you’d try to break into the sport and field a competitive car if you’re located in Colorado, which isn’t exactly conveniently located to the vast majority of tracks.
