Kevin Harvick Wins Orbitz 300 at Daytona

Kevin Harvick doesn’t seem to have cooled off from his strong finish to the 2006 season, winning the first Busch race of the year at Daytona, the Orbitz 300. Harvick started 31st but steadily made his way to the front, leading the last 43 laps and beating Dave Blaney by three car lengths.

Michael Waltrip joined all the bad kids in detention today, with NASCAR suspending his crew chief and team director indefinitely and docking the driver 100 points before the season has even begun.

NASCAR Drops the Hammer on “Cheaters” at Daytona 500

NASCAR seems to be growing a bit of a spine when it comes to punishing teams when rule infractions are found, as the penalties just doled out for various trangressions at this years Daytone 500 include:
